Puberty can be a challenging stage of life for all children . The emotional and physical changes can feel unwelcome and highlight differences within peer groups.
For children who don’t cope well with change in general, puberty can be especially difficult to cope with and they will benefit from you talking about the changes well in advance of them happening
Your child’s school will have lessons explaining the changes at puberty and it would help your child to have this backed up at home. An easy way to do this at home is through some of the film clips and interactive diagrams below:
