Attending your appointment

Please ensure that you arrive at Sandyford around 10 minutes before your appointment is due to start. This is so that you can register before you attend your appointment.

Children – Children will not always be allowed into your appointment with you. This is because it is not always safe to have children in the clinical room. You are welcome to bring an adult with you, to Sandyford to look after your children when you attend your appointment, as we do not have childcare facilities available. If you do bring children with you without another adult, the clinician may decide the procedure needs to be rearranged.

If you need to cancel your appointment or may be late

If your appointment is at Paisley, Parkhead or Woodside and you need to cancel your appointment or if you think that you may be late, please phone the direct telephone numbers for these clinics:

Missed appointments

People failing to attend appointments accounted for as much as 29% of allocated appointments at some clinics last year. This unfortunately negatively impacts those waiting for appointments, and means an increase in waiting times for those who do wish to attend.

If you can no longer attend your appointment, or you need to reschedule, please either manage your appointment via our Online Booking portal (if this is how you booked it originally), or call us.

If your appointment is at Paisley, Parkhead or Woodside please phone them directly:

Paisley: 01413149402
Parkhead: 0141 232 7413
Woodside: 0141 201 5506

For all other clinics, please phone our main switchboard: 0141 211 8130.

Please note: In line with NHS GGC policy, we offer patients 2 reasonable appointments. If you cancel both of these, we will not offer you a 3rd appointment option. In this circumstance, you will need to be re-referred by your GP to the service.

Accessing PrEP Appointments - Service Update

From 5th August 2024, for a short period, we will be offering a waiting list when PrEP appointments are fully booked. If there are no PrEP appointments available, you will be given the option to book online onto the waiting list instead. The date/time given is not an appointment slot. You will be contacted by Sandyford with an appointment as soon as possible. Please do not book on to the waiting list more than once.

This waitlist alternative is available for both New and Returning patients looking to access PrEP services at Sandyford.
